Program Description
The Cedar Park high school lacrosse program was established in 2001. Although the lacrosse team is not a UIL sport at the high school we are an approved club and therefore we operate under UIL guidelines and look forward to UIL status in the future. Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the USA and Cedar Park has a successful growing program. Lacrosse is played nationwide by 250,000+ players. Lacrosse is played at 600 colleges and 2,000 high schools nationwide. The Cedar Park High School team has made it to the playoffs and sent players on to college scholarships. We compete in the Central Texas Division 1 North district and play at the highest competitive level under THSLL guidelines. At CPHS we have both a JV and Varsity program with involvement of approximately 40 athletes. We run a fall practice season leading up to the Spring season. We encourage athletes from different sports to get involved, as Lacrosse is combination of cardio, strategy and is a sport that keeps the players active and involved. We are actively seeking athletes so new players can expect to get involved and contribute immediately. We encourage growth of the athlete, leader and student as part of the high school experience. Come try lacrosse and see if it is for you.
